Cutting boards

My board engraving is lighter/darker than what's on your website, why is that?

Each engraving will vary depending on the actual wood the board is made of. Each board will engrave differently even if it’s made from the same wood specimen.

Do you apply a finish to your cutting/charcuterie boards?
Yes, all our boards are first dipped in food safe mineral oil then coated with a mineral oil and bees wax blend (board butter) to help preserve the beauty of your board. Care instructions and a small tin of our board butter protective coating is provided.
Can I place my cutting/charcuterie board in the dishwasher?
No, please only hand wash boards with warm water and mild soap.  Hand dry with a dish towel and stand on edge to dry and when not in use.  Reapply the board butter as needed when you notice the board starting to look dry or dull.

Wood items

I noticed an imperfection on my finished good. Why is that?
Each wood good is milled down from larger pieces of lumber. Occasional imperfections such as knots, slight roughness, grain patterns, or difference in color are common with a natural wood product.
My finished good is lighter/darker than what's on your website, why is that?
Each engraving will vary depending on the actual wood sheet itself. No wood blank is exactly alike. Each wood blank will engrave differently even if it’s from the same wood specimen.
